Michael Kelly recreated Leonardo Da Vinci's Tank Mechanism, Worm Screw Gear Mechanism and Helicopter Mechanism. These machines were exhibited at The Ark Children's Cultural Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin, and at The Machmit Museum fur Kinder, Berlin, Germany. Michael's machines also toured national schools in Ireland as part of The Ark Children's Cultural Centre outreach programme which aimed to bring art and technology to children's educational centres.
