| The Giant Blue Hand |

Commissioned by The Ark, Temple Bar, Dublin, The Giant Blue Hand took centre stage as it arose from the depths of the ocean as part of a children’s theatre production. This large fully mechanized marionette is made with a steel frame and coated in latex. Under the control of a single pilot this machine can point, clutch, beckon and even take hold of unsuspecting bystanders. Designed and created by Michael Kelly and Laurent Mellet 2009.
